Who does paddock maintenance in Midlothian?

We pass jobs to agricultural contractors covering Midlothian: 14 of them are in the network today. Describe what needs doing and the ones who cover your area get in touch with you directly.

How much does paddock topping cost in Midlothian?

It depends on the acreage, how heavy the growth is, how good the access is for machinery and how far the contractor travels to reach you, so the price comes from the contractor who’d do the work, not from us. Describing the job takes a minute and quotes are free.

Will someone come out to a small paddock in Midlothian?

Yes. A single pony paddock is a perfectly normal job. We handle work for private paddock owners and one-horse fields through to equestrian yards, smallholdings, farms and estates across Midlothian.

What if my field is in Midlothian but near the border?

Not a problem. Give us the postcode and we’ll match on where the field actually is. Contractors work across county lines all the time, and plenty cover more than one county.

Emmerdale Agriculture Online Ltd, the company behind Hampshire Paddock Management, a contracting firm that does paddock work every day. You book and pay through us, and the contractor does the work.

A 15% deposit by card to book the job, and the rest once the work is done and you have confirmed it, taken from the same card, due within 7 days of sign-off. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel.

Agricultural Contractors & Paddock Maintenance in Midlothian

The ground

Grazing ground in Midlothian, and what it needs.

Good lowland ground on the coastal plain giving way to the Pentlands and Moorfoots: kind where it is low, thin and wet where it climbs.

Later turnout and a tighter window for field work than further south. The summer months do most of the work, and autumn jobs are best not left late.

Not sure which of those your field needs? Describe what it looks like and the contractor will tell you: that’s their job, not yours.

How it works

One description, the right contractor.

You don’t need to know the machinery, the acreage or the technical term for the job. That’s our end.

1

Describe the job

In your own words: long grass, an overgrown paddock, a field that needs putting right. A photo of the field and the gateway helps, but isn’t required.

2

We sort the details

We work out what the job actually needs, check the area and the access, and confirm it all back to you before it goes anywhere.

3

Contractors get in touch

The job goes to contractors covering your county. Whoever’s keen contacts you directly, and you choose who does the work. Free, with no obligation to accept a quote.
