Who does paddock maintenance in East Lothian?

We pass jobs to agricultural contractors covering East Lothian: 15 of them are in the network today. Describe what needs doing and the ones who cover your area get in touch with you directly.

How much does paddock topping cost in East Lothian?

It depends on the acreage, how heavy the growth is, how good the access is for machinery and how far the contractor travels to reach you, so the price comes from the contractor who’d do the work, not from us. Describing the job takes a minute and quotes are free.

Will someone come out to a small paddock in East Lothian?

Yes. A single pony paddock is a perfectly normal job. We handle work for private paddock owners and one-horse fields through to equestrian yards, smallholdings, farms and estates across East Lothian.

What if my field is in East Lothian but near the border?

Not a problem. Give us the postcode and we’ll match on where the field actually is. Contractors work across county lines all the time, and plenty cover more than one county.

Agricultural Contractors & Paddock Maintenance in East Lothian

The ground

Grazing ground in East Lothian, and what it needs.

The driest, sunniest arable ground in Scotland: light, free-draining coastal land that works early and burns off in a dry summer.

Ground works earlier here than anywhere else in Scotland. Spring harrowing and rolling can start well before the rest of the country.

Not sure which of those your field needs? Describe what it looks like and the contractor will tell you: that’s their job, not yours.

How it works

One description, the right contractor.

You don’t need to know the machinery, the acreage or the technical term for the job. That’s our end.

1

In your own words: long grass, an overgrown paddock, a field that needs putting right. A photo of the field and the gateway helps, but isn’t required.

2

We sort the details

We work out what the job actually needs, check the area and the access, and confirm it all back to you before it goes anywhere.

3

Contractors get in touch

The job goes to contractors covering your county. Whoever’s keen contacts you directly, and you choose who does the work. Free, with no obligation to accept a quote.
