Paddock & field work · Merseyside

Agricultural contractors and paddock maintenance in Merseyside: tell us what needs doing.

An overgrown paddock, a field of docks and nettles, grass that got away from you over the summer. Describe it in your own words and we’ll pass it to agricultural contractors covering Merseyside, free, and with no obligation to accept a quote.

31 contractors in the network already cover Merseyside, in the North West. Send the job through and whoever’s keen gets in touch with you directly.

Grazing ground in Merseyside, and what it needs.

Flat, sandy coastal ground in the north and heavier mossland inland: free-draining where the sand runs, wet and peaty where it doesn’t, sometimes within the same field.

A shorter working window than the south: the ground takes longer to dry in spring and gets wet again earlier in autumn. Getting topping and any ground work done in good conditions matters more than the exact date.

Not sure which of those your field needs? Describe what it looks like and the contractor will tell you: that’s their job, not yours.

One description, the right contractor.

You don’t need to know the machinery, the acreage or the technical term for the job. That’s our end.

Describe the job

In your own words: long grass, an overgrown paddock, a field that needs putting right. A photo of the field and the gateway helps, but isn’t required.

We sort the details

We work out what the job actually needs, check the area and the access, and confirm it all back to you before it goes anywhere.

Who does paddock maintenance in Merseyside?

We pass jobs to agricultural contractors covering Merseyside: 31 of them are in the network today. Describe what needs doing and the ones who cover your area get in touch with you directly.

How much does paddock topping cost in Merseyside?

It depends on the acreage, how heavy the growth is, how good the access is for machinery and how far the contractor travels to reach you, so the price comes from the contractor who’d do the work, not from us. Describing the job takes a minute and quotes are free.

Will someone come out to a small paddock in Merseyside?

Yes. A single pony paddock is a perfectly normal job. We handle work for private paddock owners and one-horse fields through to equestrian yards, smallholdings, farms and estates across Merseyside.

What if my field is in Merseyside but near the border?

Not a problem. Give us the postcode and we’ll match on where the field actually is. Contractors work across county lines all the time, and plenty cover more than one county.

Who runs this?

Emmerdale Agriculture Online Ltd, the company behind Hampshire Paddock Management, a contracting firm that does paddock work every day. You book and pay through us, and the contractor does the work.

How do I pay?

A 15% deposit by card to book the job, and the rest once the work is done and you have confirmed it, taken from the same card, due within 7 days of sign-off. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel.
