An overgrown paddock, a field of docks and nettles, grass that got away from you over the summer. Describe it in your own words and we’ll pass it to agricultural contractors covering Devon, free, and with no obligation to accept a quote.
34 contractors in the network already cover Devon, in the South West. Send the job through and whoever’s keen gets in touch with you directly.
Red sandstone soils through the middle and east of the county, heavy culm clay in the north-west, and thin acidic ground on the moorland fringes. The culm land is notoriously wet and slow-draining, while the red ground grows grass well and keeps growing late.
The grass gets away from you quickly. Paddocks often need topping more than once through the season. Wait for the ground to dry before harrowing or rolling, and be realistic about machinery access on soft clay.
Not sure which of those your field needs? Describe what it looks like and the contractor will tell you: that’s their job, not yours.
The full range of paddock maintenance and land work, for anything from a single pony paddock to a whole estate.
You don’t need to know the machinery, the acreage or the technical term for the job. That’s our end.
In your own words: long grass, an overgrown paddock, a field that needs putting right. A photo of the field and the gateway helps, but isn’t required.
We work out what the job actually needs, check the area and the access, and confirm it all back to you before it goes anywhere.
The job goes to contractors covering your county. Whoever’s keen contacts you directly, and you choose who does the work. Free, with no obligation to accept a quote.
