Grazing ground in County Durham, and what it needs.

Pennine dale grazing in the west, better lowland ground towards the coastal plain in the east. The upland end is thin, wet and exposed; the lowland end grows a proper crop of grass.

A shorter season than the south: spring work starts later and autumn overseeding needs to be in earlier to establish before the cold.

Not sure which of those your field needs? Describe what it looks like and the contractor will tell you: that’s their job, not yours.

How much does paddock topping cost in County Durham?
